Cement Production: Raw Meal Production in Steps
Perfectly mixed, accurately fed without pulsation, and precisely weighed

The key word is quality! And this quality is achieved during cement production with exactly matched process steps. In the first stage, the raw meal is produced, as described below.

Schenk Process measuring and feeding devices play a major role in this process.

1. Raw material production

The raw meal is based on limestone which is mined at a quarry, crushed and temporarily stored in blending beds. Schenck Process MULTIBELT® belt scales record material quantities accurately and reliably. Clay and sand are dried.

2. Raw meal production

The crushed limestone is ground into raw meal. Additives such as clay, sand or iron ore result in the desired chemical composition. The MULTIDOS® H weighfeeders and MULTIDOS® VPD apron feeders feed the various materials into the raw mill accurately and reliably. The raw meal is then homogenised in the blending silos. Finally, flow gates transport it to the next process step.
