Schenck Process’s MULTICOR® K mass-flow feeding system plays the main role in the second cement production stage.
It is used after the raw meal has been burnt in rotary kilns at temperatures of over 1,000 °C to produce clinker. MULTICOR® K has very special qualities for this. Pressure-shock resistant, economical, precise and pulsation-free, it feeds fuels such as pulverised coals or alternative fuels directly into the pneumatic transfer lines to the main burner and calcinatory.
The semi-mobile, compact system feeds alternative fuels such as shredded plastic, sawdust and carpet scraps. MULTICOR® S or MULTISTREAM® is responsible for feeding the raw meal very precisely into the heat exchanger.
The clinker is processed into different types of cement. Apart from gypsum and clinker, various additives such as slag sand, trass and fly ash are also ground up with them, depending on the type of cement required.
The MULTIDOS® weighfeeder feeds material into the mill, similar to the earlier feeding into the raw mill. Dusty bulk materials are fed using MULTICOR®, which is also used in the mixing plant.
