Highly accurate, highly constant, and ready for each change of product

Enhancing standard plastics (PE, PP, PA, ABS, SAN & A with additives) for the customised application of modern plastic materials is, to put it mildly, a process on its own, and an extremely demanding one at that. This all places extreme demands on the compounder and requires a high degree of flexibility.

Mixing takes place during a highly viscous melting phase, which is only possible using a specially matched mixing tool. The mass flow rates in the compounder range between several 100 kg/h up to 10 t/h.

Short-term feeding consistency is critical in the case of mega-compounders with speeds of up to 1,000 rpm. This consistency must be greater than 2% during the time the product is in the compounder (<=10 sec).

Quality with a system

The MechaTron® family provides an optimal feeding element for virtually every application, from single and double-shaft feeding elements through to vibratory feeders. The Coni-Flex® MechaTron feeder is suitable for free-flowing to moderately flowing products.

Coni-Steel® feeders with single-shaft or double-shaft feeding elements are suitable for poorly flowing products.

Single-shaft feeding elements are available in the form of screws and helices. The use of vibratory feeders helps to achieve high setting ranges with the highest feeding constancy, which is required for granulates, pellets, chips and fibres.
